If you’re in Barcelona in the summer months, be sure to got to La Terrazza, where you can dance on the club’s terrace until you see the sun rise in the morning. After a long night out, you can rest up for the next night’s sequel on Barceloneta or Sant Sebastia, the two oldest and most popular of Barcelona’s seven beaches.

The southern city of Granada is notable for many things, including the rich cultural history imparted by the Moors. That history, which has influenced the entire country of Spain, is very visible in Granada, where historical treasures such as the Alhambra palace can be found. The Alhambra has wowed visitors the world over with its stunning architecture since it was built in the 14th century. When you’re in Granada, relax in the Hammam. Literally translated from Arabic as baths, the Hammam is beautiful modern reconstruction of a Moorish bathhouse.

During your stay in Granada, you’ll have the mountains of the Sierra Nevada watching over you. An excellent way to end any adventure in Granada is to head up to the snow covered peaks that surround it for a day or more of skiing or to head south to the Mediterranean Sea.

The Picos de Europa mountain range in the north is another beautiful site. The expansive range, whose name translates as Peaks of Europe, is home to animals such as the Iberian lynx, Cantabrian brown bear, and the Iberian wolf. The glacially sculpted scenery contains the Lakes of Covadonga, and the surrounding mountains are dotted with quiet country towns.
